We intentionally minimize data collection and avoid personal identifiers wherever possible.
1. Who We Are
Perfient is an AI-powered financial analysis and decision-support platform designed to help users analyze portfolios, risk, and financial strategies without requiring personal identification.
2. What Data We Do NOT Collect
Perfient does not require or request:
- Real names
- Email addresses (optional, when available, used only for recovery, identity verification, and notifications. We recommend using email aliases for privacy.)
- Phone numbers (optional, when available, used only for Whatsapp notifications and conversations with Perfient AI)
- Home or mailing addresses
- Government-issued identifiers
- Payment card or banking details (unless explicitly introduced in future paid plans)
3. Data We May Collect
To operate the service, Perfient may process the following limited data:
- User-provided financial inputs (e.g., bank statements, portfolio holdings, allocations, assumptions)
- Profile inputs related to financial preferences or risk tolerance
- Email address (optional, used only for recovery, identity verification, and notifications)
- WhatsApp phone number (optional, provided with explicit user consent; used only for notifications and AI-powered financial conversations via WhatsApp)
- Anonymous user identifier (chosen by the user)
- Technical metadata (e.g., session state, error logs, performance metrics)
All financial data is provided voluntarily by the user and is used solely to generate personalized analysis within the platform.
3a. Financial Information
Perfient collects and processes financial information that users voluntarily provide, including:
- Income, expenses, savings, and investment data
- Asset and liability breakdowns (cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, etc.)
- Portfolio holdings, broker-linked account data (read-only, via secure OAuth)
- Financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment horizon
- Uploaded bank statements or transaction CSVs (processed locally or in-session; not retained beyond the active session unless explicitly saved by the user)
This information is used exclusively to generate your personalized financial analysis, projections, and AI-driven insights. It is never shared with advertisers or used for profiling outside of Perfient's own service.
3b. WhatsApp Interactions
Perfient integrates with the WhatsApp Business Platform (provided by Meta) to deliver two types of interactions:
- Notifications: Proactive alerts such as portfolio updates, goal milestones, or financial reminders, sent only to users who have explicitly opted in.
- AI Conversations: Users may interact with the Perfient AI assistant directly via WhatsApp to ask financial questions, receive portfolio summaries, or get insights β all within the same secure, privacy-first framework as the main app.
Data collected via WhatsApp interactions includes:
- WhatsApp phone number (stored only while opt-in is active)
- Message content exchanged with the Perfient AI assistant (used to generate responses; subject to the same anonymization practices described in Section 5)
- Opt-in and opt-out timestamps
Perfient does not use WhatsApp interactions for advertising, does not share WhatsApp message content with third parties, and does not send unsolicited messages. Users may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any Perfient WhatsApp message or by removing their phone number from Settings > Privacy & Data Controls within the app.
4. How Your Data Is Used
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Generate AI-driven financial analysis and insights
- Personalize responses based on your portfolio and preferences
- Improve system reliability and performance
Perfient does not sell user data, rent it, or use it for advertising purposes.
5. AI Processing & Anonymization
Perfient uses AI systems (including large language models) to analyze financial data and generate personalized insights. Before being processed by these systems, user inputs are:
- Summarized β raw data is condensed into structured context rather than sent verbatim
- Abstracted β specific account numbers, institution names, or other identifiers are removed or generalized
- Stripped of direct identifiers β names, email addresses, and phone numbers are not included in AI prompts
This applies to all AI interactions including in-app chat, WhatsApp conversations, and automated analysis pipelines. We aim to ensure that data sent to AI processing systems cannot be linked back to an individual user.
AI-generated outputs (insights, projections, recommendations) are provided for informational and decision-support purposes only and do not constitute regulated financial advice.
6. Data Storage & Retention
Data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the service. Users (without registered email address) who lose their credentials may permanently lose access to their data, as Perfient does not maintain identity recovery mechanisms.
7. Security Measures
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including:
- Encryption at rest and in transit (where applicable)
- Restricted access controls
- Separation of user identifiers from financial data
- Encrypted local data storage as an option
- Client side encryption as an option
However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
7a. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have the right to access, correct, export, or permanently delete your data at any time. Perfient provides a self-service deletion flow directly within the app:
- Log in β Settings β Privacy & Data Controls β Delete My Financial Twin
- This permanently deletes all financial data, account credentials, and WhatsApp interaction history
- Deletion is immediate and irreversible

8. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Safeguarding your user ID and password
- Ensuring the accuracy of data you provide
Perfient cannot recover lost credentials.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the βLast updatedβ date.

11. WhatsApp Business Compliance
Perfient's use of WhatsApp Business complies with Meta's WhatsApp Business Policy and Commerce Policy. Specifically:
- Explicit opt-in: Users must actively provide their WhatsApp number and consent within the Perfient app before any WhatsApp messages are sent. Pre-checked boxes or implied consent are not used.
- Message relevance: All WhatsApp messages are transactional or conversational in nature β portfolio alerts, AI responses, or account notifications. No promotional or marketing messages are sent via WhatsApp.
- Opt-out mechanism: Users can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or by removing their number from the app's Settings > Privacy & Data Controls.
- Data minimization: Only the phone number required for WhatsApp delivery and the message content are processed. Financial data is anonymized before being referenced in any WhatsApp AI response.
- No data sharing: WhatsApp interaction data is not shared with third parties, sold, or used for advertising.
- User control: Full deletion of WhatsApp-related data is available through the self-service deletion flow described in Section 7a.
